I'm a little obsessed with the why.

Hi, I'm Amr. I make videos, but what I care about is why a story matters. If I can't say why someone would watch, no camera or edit will fix it, so I start there every time.

I spent more than five years at Al Jazeera making geopolitical and narrative video, then worked on LinkedIn's Emmy-nominated Catalyst series.

Today I run video at Moniify, a finance and entrepreneurship brand. I research, script, shoot, edit and publish across LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. I built the studio from scratch, which took us from one video a day to four or five, and I work directly with the CEO and founders to get the message right.

Somewhere along the way I became a one-man crew, and sometimes I'm the one on camera too. It keeps the why from getting lost between departments.
